Heather Spear
Founder & Event Designer
Heather Spear is widely known for her talent and artistry in creating young, fresh, beautifully unique, and stylish events. Heather handles all levels of design and planning, specializing in multi-day celebrations and Lake Tahoe destination events that reflect the unique needs of each client and location. Involved with weddings and event design since 2000, she has planned and executed hundreds of social and corporate events ranging from small intimate gatherings to large-scale sophisticated affairs.
Heather's strong reputation grew through her ability to stay calm in any situation and the essential belief to respect, understand, and listen to her clients' wants and needs. Emphasizing the importance of establishing a distinct and personal relationship with each client, Heather ensures that the full potential of the couple's vision is realized, while creating the perfect fusion of function and style by incorporating her own insight and expertise. All of her clients share an appreciation for her incomparable work ethic, honesty, and the ability to create and execute a flawless event.
Prior to the formation of Summit Soiree, Heather gained invaluable experience as an Operations Manager of a destination management company at the prestigious Resort at Squaw Creek. From 2000-2005 she planned and operated corporate and special events on and off-site. Due to her time and experience dedicated to the Industry, Heather is widely respected by the area's leading service professionals and vendors, and has a vast knowledge of Lake Tahoe's premiere event locations.
Heather graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a BA in Environmental Studies and Psychology. She resides in Truckee, California with her husband and two children.

Laura has been an assistant wedding coordinator with Summit Soiree since its inception in 2005. Born and raised in Lake Tahoe, Laura has a strong knowledge of the various sites & vendors available around the Lake and works closely with Heather in the planning and execution of these special wedding events. Laura spent several summers working in the field of floral design and brings this expertise to the business along with her artistic and organizational skills. She maintains a professional and upbeat attitude while handling the needs and wishes of her clients promptly and efficiently. Laura's hard work, dedication and ability to work well under pressure ensure that every bride's special day is everything she imagined… and more!

Kaitlyn Harrah
Kaitlyn Harrah has been working for Summit Soiree since 2007 and guarantees excellent customer service and hospitality. She understands every aspect of an event with many years experience cooking, catering, managing staff and ordering rental items. Managing and delegating a production with a personable, creative and positive attitude comes naturally. She has a superior eye for detail and creates a finished product clients rave about. Her professionalism and event knowledge guarantees an unforgettable experience from start to finish.

Karen Raque Oliver
Karen has been a wedding designer and coordinator for Summit Soiree since May 2009. She also spearheads PR and Marketing efforts for the company. Karen has fervor for entertaining and loves being surrounded by rich textures, gorgeous flowers, and people in love. Her clients immediately recognize her passion for planning and her commitment to their events.
A graduate of Emerson College in Boston, Karen has nearly a decade of experience working as a Public Relations professional in mainstream entertainment industries in Los Angeles. Karen's rich communications and corporate business and planning background have given her the perfect blend of organizational, management, and interpersonal skills, as well as the creativity needed to execute an event of any size.
